Cathy finds a new apartment

After much pounding of the pavement all last week, Cathy found a great apartment in Alexandria, VA. It's only 1/2 mile from the Metro and only one Metro stop away from her new job at the US Patent and Trademark Office. It's all brand new inside -- an older building was completely gutted and all the apts were totally redone. She'll have all new appliances, granite countertops and new maple cabinets in her kitchen and bathroom, hardwood flooring in her kitchen and foyer, carpeting in all the other areas, a washer and dryer right in her apartment and a large outdoor balcony. It also has a nice swimming pool area, tennis courts, workout rooms with machines and weights, yoga and aerobics classes and free parking for her car. There is a community large-screen media room as well as a pool table and library. They also have periodic social events for the residents to get to know each other. She moves in on July 12th!

Wow what a great place and it looks like it has a nice view too - lots of trees out the windows! What a nice first place to have! My first apartment I shared with 2 other girls and they wouldn't deliver pizza there after dark!

Looks a lot like my first place, except about 3X bigger. And in a way cooler part of the country.
