Winter Wonderland in Greenbush

We arrived at Wiser Times last night. We knew it had snowed here before we arrived, but it was so late and dark that we couldn't really tell how much was out there. Fortunately, our driveway was already plowed by prior arrangement.

This morning, we woke up to this! Look how deep the snow is on the picnic table. And, the poor birds -- the feeders are totally blocked by snow.

And then there's the GIANT icicles -- doesn't speak well for our insulation, does it?

Before the snow got walked on I took some pictures around the yard. I love the little paths created by the critters.

The picture below shows some cool tunnels in the snow. (These marks are not our footprints) I'm thinking they were created by the chipmunks who like to pilfer seed from the bird feeders? It looks like they might lead to underneath the deck. (and check out the depth of the snow on the birdbath!)

And, finally, the lake.

it doesn't snow like that in virginia! The snow makes the beach look twice as big!
