Snow Day

Like many other parts of the midwest, this morning we woke up to a lot of snow.  So far we've gotten about 5-6 inches and it's still snowing.  Last night about 2:30 am, I heard freezing rain hitting the roof and windows.  Apparently the freezing rain reduced the amount of snow accumulation we might have had, as they were predicting 8-12 inches.

Our next door neighbor was industrious -- he blew out our joint driveway approach and then continued on to do our other next door neighbor's, too.

He said he felt good so just kept on going -- he did the bottom half of our driveway and our front walk, too.

I shovelled the back door area and a path to the backyard in order to be able to take Kody out.

Right now, we're enjoying the view and not wanting to do much else but stay cozy inside.  Chuck is on an all day conference call -- a substitute for a meeting with lots of out-of-towners that was cancelled due to the weather -- so we probably won't tackle any more snow until late this afternoon.

Sometimes it's just nice to cocoon.

thats a good amount of snow, enough to stay in and not feel guilty but not totally unmanageable, I'm jealous!
