Adventures in Grandparenting -- Day 2

Today, Thursday, is our second day by ourselves with the grandchildren.  Last night, they both slept completely through the night.  We had a video monitor next to our bed so we could see them at all times.  This morning, they both woke about 7:30 am and both were in fine moods.

After a good breakfast, we headed out to the nearby park.  Here are some shots of that activity.

The outdoors must have made them hungry as both kids ate really well at lunch.  Once again, down for a good nap (1:15 pm to 3:45 pm).  Leili was missing her mom again at nap time so we decided to "call" her on the cell phone.  Leili used her cell phone (and old one that is no longer in service) to call Momma and also for Momma to listen while we read naptime books.  That seemed to help and she went down without any problem.  Chuck went to the grocery store and picked up a few items.  After the kids got up from their naps, we again spent some time "up high." 

I'm cooking dinner right now and expect to feed the kids the same thing we're having -- chicken and rice. 

We're keeping our fingers crossed that things will continue to go smoothly.  So far, so good.
