Friday Aug 20th
Dave finished up the shingles, while Russell completed the woodwork.
By the middle of the day, all wood work is done. Every area except the ceiling is now covered with cedar, including all the inside trim.
Next, the staining began.
Dave worked really hard on the staining, not stopping until about 7:00 pm. All that's left to stain is the floor and the inside ceiling.
As Dave was finishing the staining, Russell packed up all their gear and took it to their place. Dave said he has more room to build and stain the door and screens at his place. He also has a barn to work in if it rains. He plans to work this weekend to complete the screens because he wants to go on vacation by next Wednesday!
Sat the 21st
Here's Chuck doing his first shave in the gazebo today.
We are leaving for home on Sunday so won't see the finished product with the door and screens installed until we return September 1st. But we are delighted with every stage we've seen so far.
